AI security

Generative AI is now part of everyday work, and so are its risks: sensitive data pasted into public chatbots, unsanctioned AI apps, and AI agents that act on corporate systems.

  • AI security for users: see which GenAI tools people use, allow approved ones, block risky ones, and stop sensitive data from being sent to them, using the same DLP policies as the rest of your traffic.
  • AI security for applications: protect the AI applications you build and host against data leakage and abuse.
  • Agentic AI security: apply identity, least-privilege access and inspection to AI agents and the tools they call, so an agent can reach only what policy allows.

Threat prevention

Threat prevention runs at the edge and in the cloud, under one policy, so a branch, a remote user and an IoT device get the same protection.

  • Agentic threat prevention: AI-driven analysis that correlates signals and recommends or applies blocking actions, with human approval where required.
  • Firewall-as-a-Service (FWaaS): cloud firewall with application and user awareness for sites and remote users.
  • Secure Web Gateway (SWG): URL and category filtering, TLS inspection and safe-search enforcement for internet traffic.
  • Intrusion Prevention (IPS): signature-based inspection with automatic updates, on Nexapp edges and in the cloud.
  • Malware prevention: gateway antivirus and sandboxing of unknown files before they reach users.
  • DNS security: block malicious and newly registered domains, command-and-control callbacks and DNS tunnelling.
  • Remote Browser Isolation (RBI): risky or uncategorised websites open in an isolated cloud browser, so malicious code never reaches the endpoint.
  • IoT/OT security: discover devices behind every router, segment them and restrict each to the systems it needs, with support for industrial protocols such as Modbus, DNP3 and IEC 60870-5-104.

Data and app protection

  • Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB): discover shadow IT, control SaaS use by user and activity, and connect to sanctioned SaaS through API connectors (for example Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace).
  • Data Loss Prevention (DLP): detect and stop sensitive data (card numbers, credentials, identity data and custom patterns) leaving through web, SaaS, email or AI tools.
  • Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA): identity- and device-posture-based access to private applications, app by app, replacing broad VPN access. Users connect with the InstaAccess client, which also supports SSL VPN and IPsec VPN.
  • Nexapp browser extension: extend ZTNA and DLP controls into the browser.

Optimized networking

  • Secured SD-WAN: bond fibre, broadband, MPLS and 4G/5G into one encrypted overlay with SLA-based steering and sub-second failover, managed by the Nexapp Controller.
  • Instaroute 4G/5G edge: industrial and branch routers on NexappOS for ATMs, stores, plants, vehicles and field sites. Instaroute Lite Series routers are managed from Instaroute SDWAN Lite 2.0; Enterprise X Series edges from the Nexapp Controller.
  • Cloud datacenter integration: connect cloud and data-centre workloads to the same fabric and policy.
  • Digital Experience Monitoring (DEM): measure what users actually experience (application response, link quality, Wi-Fi and SaaS performance) and find the cause before users raise a ticket.

Detection and response

  • Extended Detection and Response (XDR): correlate events from the network, SSE and endpoints into prioritised incidents with a timeline, so analysts investigate one story rather than thousands of alerts.
  • Endpoint protection (EPP/EDR): detect and block malware and suspicious behaviour on endpoints, feeding the same XDR incidents.
  • Exportable incident evidence helps you meet CERT-In's 6-hour reporting obligation and RBI incident-reporting requirements.

Unified management

  • Single management application: one console for SD-WAN, security, access and devices, with one policy model and one audit trail.
  • Platform API: a documented REST API (OpenAPI) for automation, SIEM, ITSM and OSS/BSS integration, with role-based and organisation-scoped access.
  • NexParth AI: ask about any site, user or device in plain language. NexParth correlates live data, proposes a fix and waits for an authorised operator to approve it.
  • Multi-tenant: organisations nest to any depth for MSPs, telcos and large groups.

Post-quantum across every capability

Every tunnel and control channel in the platform uses hybrid post-quantum key exchange (classical + ML-KEM, FIPS 203), ML-DSA (FIPS 204) authentication, post-quantum-signed firmware and post-quantum TLS 1.3. This protects recorded traffic against harvest-now, decrypt-later attacks. See post-quantum cryptography.

Frequently asked questions

Is Nexapp a single-vendor SASE platform?

Yes. SD-WAN, NGFW/FWaaS, SWG, CASB, DLP, ZTNA, remote browser isolation, DNS security, XDR, EPP/EDR and DEM come from one vendor, under one policy model and one console, with one support contract and a 24×7 NOC in Pune.

Do I have to buy every capability at once?

No. Many customers start with SD-WAN or Instaroute routers and add security, SSE and detection capabilities as they need them, on the same platform.

How does Nexapp secure the use of AI tools?

Nexapp discovers the GenAI tools in use, applies allow or block policy per tool and user, and uses DLP to stop sensitive data being sent to them.

Agentic AI security applies identity and least-privilege access to AI agents.

Where is my data processed and stored?

Nexapp can host the platform in India, or you can self-host it in your own data centre.

Either option helps you meet data-residency needs and CERT-In's 180-day in-India log requirement.

Does Nexapp include XDR and endpoint protection?

Yes. XDR correlates network, SSE and endpoint events into incidents, and the Nexapp endpoint agent provides EPP/EDR protection on endpoints.
